Norfolk gourmet food delivery business celebrates hitting the sale of two million meals.
More information: Super Chef
Gourmet food specialists Super Chef are celebrating the sale of two million meals to customers in East Anglia. The business highlights how sourcing high quality food and providing great customer service can lead to success in the hard-pressed food-production industry.
The Super Chef fleet of nine vans from Long Stratton, Norfolk, delivers fine dining to the doorstep – with 30 per cent of the company’s 110 dishes sourced locally. Their extensive range of main course options includes continental favourites like scallop-based Coquilles St Jacques, Paella and Lasagne Superiore. More traditional dishes like Beef Wellington and Rack of Lamb are also offered among the wide choice of meat and fish alternatives.
Super Chef managing director John Williams said: “We are delighted to reach the two million landmark. Wherever possible we choose local products. Our sausages are made from fully traceable free-range pork and all our chicken, lamb and beef is guaranteed to be English.
“Our Super Chef distributors deliver by van to the doorstep. Sales from our website are serviced by a courier – we deliver on the day following receipt of order – and we also offer a party plan service.”
Their high quality, doorstep gourmet meal service has caught the imagination of the public. Founded in 1998, the business has expanded over the years with customers throughout East Anglia and Lincolnshire.
John added: “We were among the pioneers of home delivery in the food industry – before Tesco. When times are hard people want to save money and dine at home but they still want the best. If you offer them gourmet food at an affordable price, this becomes an attractive alternative to the expense of eating out.”
Super Chef has a fine range of vegetarian options with the delightful Brie and Broccoli Pithivier as a standout offering. Mouth-watering desserts include the highly recommended Sticky Toffee pudding, real fruit sorbets and summer puddings.
