The backpacking trail through Southeast Asia is very popular. People have been traveling through the route for many decades, and that’s the reason popular blogger and traveler Connor Addis wants to be amongst these people. He published a post in his Facebook about his plans.
Connor Addis will begin the trail in Thailand and then move to Laos via Vietnam and through the temples of Angkor Wat. He will head back to Thailand, where he will have an opportunity to enjoy himself in the Thai Islands before moving down to Malaysia and Singapore. The prices and transportation can be quite similar in most the places he will visit, so he doesn’t have to worry about anything.
Food is also inexpensive in Southeast Asia, and he doesn’t have to worry about that too. Even with a balance of the western meals, Connor won’t spend more than $15 USD per day on food unless he decided to feed his sushi addiction.
Connor loves trying new food, and that’s why he is dying to visit Penang, Malaysia. It is well known for its unique blend of Chinese, Indian and Malay influences, and he will live to treasure his visit to this place. He will definitely enjoy the delicious laksas, savory soups and the spicy curries of Penang.
After the mouthwatering experience of Penang, Connor Addis must also visit its capital, Georgetown. This is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, home to temples, mosques and colonial building with over 200 years old. He will have the opportunity to take photos and meet new people there.
The last place he plans to visit in Asia is the Bay of Descending Dragons. This is a unique karst topography which overhangs out of the sea and forms close to 2,000 islets. He will spend few days there enjoying magnificent cruises amongst the formations and exploring the islets to discover their secrets amongst other activities.
