Enviroglaze/Envirosolar have confirmed that they will be donating a Magic Heating Box (Central Heating Management system) to a Chelmsford charity. Age Concern (Chelmsford) is a small independent charity first established over 50 year ago to provide a Day Center, It gives people the opportunity to participate in other social activities. These include:
• bingo twice a week,
• arts and craft classes,
• a number of outings to the coast and
other attractions during the year.
The charity was established for use by the older residents of Chelmsford and the surrounding district and is the successor organisation to Chelmsford Old Peoples Welfare Committee which was originally founded in 1948.The Day Center offers light refreshments in the morning and provides a freshly cooked nutritious two-course meal at a very reasonable cost. The Charity operates five days a week throughout the year. Age concern in Chelmsford currently prepares and serves just under 7,400 two-course meals annually, including a small number of meals for staff and volunteers.
\’The Charitys day center based at Cottage Place in Chelmsford has all of the common problems that you will find in a central heating system.Our system will remove all of the cold spots on a permanent basis giving the building a radiant heat, the flow rate of the water will be increases which means the property will get hot quicker. We are changing all of the TRVs to the latest Globus product along with giving the charity a new thermostat which is touch screen. There are 17 radiators within the building and most of them have cold spots, they spent £2360.78 last year so our aim is to save them a minimum of £787 within the next 12 months, the property is being surveyed and the installation will take place within the next few weeks\’ said the Director of Enviroglaze David Norris.
