About the Book:

This is a charming collection of five new fantasy short stories for children aged 6 – 12 to enjoy. The stories include:

“The Cottage under the Ivy” which is about the wonderful Ivylees fairies.

“Grandma’s Magical Rocking Chair” which takes a girl to some memorable places.

In “A Dreamy Adventure”, Jenny meets a creature named Gruffy who takes her on a perilous adventure.

Two more tales are called “The Face in the Rock” and a ghost story entitled “The Lane Behind the Gate”.

“The musicians started to play. The dancers danced and the singers sang. Then everyone joined in.
Soon, they were all laughing happily.
Megan and Molly sang an Irish ditty their mother had taught them. Then they danced an Irish jig. Eventually, they all collapsed on to the floor tired, but happy.
‘There you see,’ said Molly. ‘Now you all know the meaning of the saying ‘all work and no play’.’
‘We certainly do,’ said Jack.
‘Now, think positive,’ said Megan. ‘You have all worked hard. The cottage is completely covered with beautiful ivy and there are hundreds of shells. The inspectors will be very pleased and they’ll let you stay here forever.’”
