Countryside online dating site, Muddy Matches is to launch its new ‘Get Muddy’ dating app at The Country Life Fair at Fulham Palace, London, SW6 this September (27th and 28th) 2014.
More information: www.muddymatches.co.uk/
Using location-based technology, the app will be available at country shows and will allow show visitors to log in, search for other singles at that event, message them and hopefully meet up that day.
Available as a free download from the end of August, users will simply need to register an email address and upload a photo and a very brief description of themselves in order to start contacting other singles.
Building on the success of their website, and in the light of a huge increase in the number of people accessing the site from mobile devices, the founders of Muddy Matches were looking to provide country singles with a new and exciting way to meet each other and the idea for the ‘Get Muddy’ app was born.
“We are lucky to have so many great countryside shows in the UK and Ireland that celebrate a huge range of interests”, says Muddy Matches co-founder Lucy Reeves, “but I have always found it enormously frustrating that there are often hundreds, if not thousands of like-minded single people in one place at these events but they are unlikely to meet each other, unless of course fate or mutual friends are feeling kind. With the ‘Get Muddy’ app, I really hope we can help solve this problem in a cringe and pressure-free way; if you are already at a country show, you are going to have a good day out anyway, but you also have the added benefit of being able to log in and see who else might be out there!!”
“Whilst we plan to make the app available at many popular countryside shows in 2015”, she continues, “we’re really excited about launching it exclusively at The Country Life Fair this year as there is such a buzz about the event and we are sure it’s going to be a huge success.”
The Country Life Fair will be a must-attend event for all country-minded singles, bringing together a crowd of ‘welly-heeled’ eligibles for a fun and sociable weekend with music, entertainment and plenty of opportunity for rural romance to flourish.
The lively Brown Cow and The Sands End ‘country pubs’ which are the heart of Fulham’s social scene, and the famous ‘Mr Fogg’s of Mayfair’ cocktail bar will be extending their hospitality for the Fair providing the perfect setting for singles to mingle.
Alec Mumford, director of The Fair says: “The Country Life Fair will be the perfect opportunity for country-minded singles – from twenty-somethings to…well, love doesn’t end – to meet their ‘tweedhearts’ and find love. We are delighted that Muddy Matches are launching their new ‘Get Muddy’ app at the Fair and we look forward to our first Country Life Fair wedding!”
