On Line Lottery aims to address grass roots funding in British Football
• Weekly jackpot for a single winner of up to £200 000 and no roll-overs
• Potential £32 000 donation for participating clubs from the fans each month
• YourClubLottery to fund grass roots training and facilities

October 23rd 2014, Cheshire, YourClubLottery is a new on line lottery for football fans that aims to deliver funding for all football clubs in the UK, including grass roots football clubs such as Hyde, Port Vale and Congleton Town.
40% (80p) of each £2 ticket will be equally shared amongst clubs with a further 40% going in prize money. To play the lottery, fans choose a Premiership game and select the first and second goal scorers along with the half time and full time score giving four chances to win cash prizes, all tickets then enter the weekly jackpot draw.
The target is to reach just one million weekly sales this season, which would see one winner scoop a weekly jackpot of up to £200 000 and each of the initial 100 football clubs selected for the scheme receive a monthly income of £32 000 to revitalise the local football community.
“It’s a brilliant idea,” according to Pete Ainger, Chief Executive of Hyde FC one of the first clubs to sign up to YourClubLottery. “For clubs like ours in the Conference North there’s huge pressure on revenue, and this could make all the difference to us adding to our 125 year heritage with the hope of many more years to come.”
The launch of YourClubLottery comes at a time when the FA Chairman’s commission report has highlighted the need for fundamental changes in both coaching and facilities at a grass roots level of Football, in order for English football to become more competitive on the international stage and for a higher percentage of home grown talent to flourish in the Premiership.
“We want to empower clubs and enable them to provide the best environment for young players to develop and it’s clear the current structure is very much a game of two ‘haves’ – those in the Premiership and, to a lesser extent the Championship, who have the resources but are increasingly looking overseas for talent and those who have not, because they are excluded from lucrative TV and sponsorship money. Whilst it’s clear the FA report knows what needs to be done, it’s far from clear how it’ll be funded, we believe this is part of the solution,” comments Paul Tolley CEO of YourClubLottery. m/f

About YourClubLottery
The origins of YourClubLottery go back several years and lie in the frustrations of Dads on touchlines recognising the shortcomings of junior football played on poor pitches with inadequate technical coaching compared with the approach and facilities available at an under 9’s tournament in Germany. With careful planning and a clear vision (and jumpers for goal posts) the website has been developed and thoroughly tested to the stage where it is now ready for the first phase of its consumer roll-out.
YourClubLottery is digital so there are no paper tickets to lose and all winnings, including the Jackpot, is automatically uploaded to an individual’s account. All transactions including club donations are detailed in an online statement.
An independent payment gateway offers secure transactions on both PCs and mobile allowing the lottery to offer a refreshing alternative to the on-line gambling industry by offering equal rewards to players and the future of grassroots football.
