Statement from Paul Luke, lecturer at Leeds College of Arts;
“Myself and my students were incredibly proud when asked to represent Leeds College of Art BA (Hons) Fashion at Nilorn’s 75th Anniversary event. My students thoroughly enjoyed \’rubbing shoulders\’, liaising, dining and champagne\’ing down the River Thames on a bright and sunny evening! The event gave my students the chance to showcase their portfolios and garments to key industry professionals whilst forging vital business connections. To say that my students were grateful of the opportunity would be an understatement in itself and it was clear to see why Nilorn have maintained 75 years of solid creative links. Overall, the event quite literally ‘bridged’ the gap between education and industry and on behalf of a very appreciative group of future designers, I’d like to say ‘Thank you Nilorn’ . Paul Luke”
